Bell House Books is a woman-owned, independent bookstore rooted in the heart of Barrington, Illinois. We are now both a brick-and-mortar shop and an online destination for thoughtfully curated reads.

I’m Montana Bellagamba, a mom of two, and I recently returned to our hometown with my husband, Thomas. This community helped shape who we are, and opening Bell House Books here is incredibly meaningful to us. What began as a pop-up bookshop has grown into a permanent space where readers can gather, explore, and connect.

At Bell House Books, we believe stories have the power to build community, spark imagination, and bring people together. Our shelves are curated for readers of all ages, from picture books to literary fiction and everything in between, with the goal of helping every customer discover something that resonates.
